It’s
hours late, I know.. peace!
Honestly, my wildest dream ever
is to be the best wife and mother to my future husband and kids, and I know, to
be BEST means, you must dedicate your effort, time, strength, love, devotion and
yourself. To be the best mother isn’t easy, I know it (am not a mother yet,
ok?). For the sake of this blog, I will (only) write my points of view and the
things I’ve seen and experienced from the so precious woman I ever know- my
mother.
“Mothers know best”, as cliché
goes. Well, some might say, “not always”, but most of the time, mothers just
know the right thing to do. At times, they might be misunderstood but they
would later be proven right. Others can cheer us up but only our mother can put
the biggest smile on our face when we are in trouble.
When am still in my so called
innocence, I used to asked my mama these lines, “What is this?”, “What do you
mean by this?”, Why should I do this and that?”, “Why I am experiencing all of
these?” and then mama would just tell me, “Human life is full of surprises” and
then she will explain everything to me. She knows what words to use to let me
understand what she means. And you know what, sometimes asking “why” is just
not an option; just listen to your mother. More often than not, you’ll find out
later that she’s right. If she’s wrong, then it must be for the best. Mothers
would never put their child in danger, in the first place.
She knows how to offer her pure
love and devotion,; no matter how busy life can be for a mother, she is always
thankful for her family. And because she’s a woman, she is emotional, yet she’s
the emotionally strongest in the family. She can hide her fears and sadness
just to protect her family from being weak. Mothers are so protective. .They’re
willing to be our shield and take the
pain for as long as they can. Truly an amazing love you won’t just get
anywhere.
To my mama..
I can’t honestly find the perfect
word to express my sincerest thanks to you. Then again, for teaching me how to
face the fears in me, for bringing out the best in me, for always believing,
for the support, for the trust, for the values you embedded into my scheme for
which I hope I’ll live with for the rest of our lives, for the unconditional and
can-never-be-compare love, for your devotion and oh yes, for raising me so
well, MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, beyond words.
You may have other people in your
life but your family is the besy you’ll ever have because they completely
accept you for who you are. So treasure them and don’t take them for granted,
‘coz you know, like it or not, we will have our family, for better or worse. Be
thankful!
And lastly, being a mother can be
challenging, but knowing that she has a family makes it all worth it. Happy
mother’s day to you, my mama and the same goes to your mother, you reading
this. ♥♥♥
