People of my year 2014!

And so what I plan to do this coming new year? To distance myself from people who make me feel I'm hard to love. I will embrace those people who made me feel that loving me is a privilege.


Life has given me so many experiences, both the good and the bad, happy and sad, beautiful and shameful, colorful and painful, but this whole box of memories from this ending year- has never discouraged me from continuing to enjoy living, laughing, and loving…

So let me share the PEOPLE who made my year 2014 colorful and meaningful, these persons who made my whole 2014 go round-  the PEOPLE OF MY YEAR 2014.

   Channing Tatum- Oh my! My greatest inspiration, aspiration, perspiration and my greatest weakness, too! Even before I got to know more Ashton Kutcher, I was already and got even more in love and involved with Channing’s life. I used to write his name beside my name, using his last name after my given name, made flames of our names. Haha. I was so funky and addicted to him, and I think that’s got worse! Haha. Well, just a source of inspiration that someday, somehow, I will find someone like him. (as if I don’t have a bf. hehe)

   Lady Medrano - A very much loving mother, a super caring and devoted wife, very hard working and business mindset woman. A true friend. What about her that I like the most is her calmness. She faces every life’s trial in her most calm and quiet yet diligent ways. Just looking at her sometimes amazed me and ask myself, how did she carry and gone through this all? How did she make it? She was kicked off from her work in the “most-not-civilian-way” and in her most unexpected reason and time.  Her husband was a helper in a cafeteria. They had kids going to school every day, they worry on how they can pay the bills and where to get their financial support for their everyday lives. But what makes her even more admirable? Her FAITH. Her in God.  She may noe know I am thankful for our creator let our paths crossed, but I am. 

1 Albert Yu- the company’s President- my boss. I will always be thankful for your kindness, for necessary defending me. Trust is very hard to build but you gave and showed it to me, to us. You serve as my inspiration in so many ways. I do not know how you make it, to run and lead different companies, but you still able to check and mingle to everybody who works for you. I admire you even more when you crack a joke in front of the group and act as if you are not the owner of the establishment where we go and report every day to work. Thank you, Sir. Thank you.

1 Jenny Vale- one of the true friends I have in life. As in TRUE FRIEND, and yes, true friends exists. A true- forgiving- woman who will give it all when it comes to true friendship. You don’t have to explain because she sees your needs. You don’t have to speak because she feels your problem. And she’s not afraid to give everything she has just to help her true friend. Precious.

1 Michael Odo- Isn’t it so sweet when your sibling gives you reminders of how you should live your life? That asking you so often, “why are you like that? Why are you acting like that?”. That whenever you did something either negative or positive towards him or to other people, he always notice it and say thank you. That he’s thankful for having you as his sister? That simple acts and ways makes me feel I am a good sister and good influencer. Haha. Thank you, bro!

1 Jay Trinidad- my best bud, my lover boy. The best driver and cook for me- ever. You want to have a long drive in the most “zigzag road” in the Philippines but still want a life after the “thrill trip”? Then meet this man. Thank you for the roller coaster experience. Though you don’t have to kill someone just to protect me, but knowing that you are willing, I would like to thank you for showing and giving me the best shield of love.

1 Papa- I am not here if not because of you. I am not beautiful if not because of you. I am not tiny if not because of you. I am not cute if not because of you. I am not Ms. Odo if not because of you. Thank you for loving me and my brother. Thank you for protecting us the best way you could. Thank you for fighting for us when we can’t fight for ourselves. Thank you for being you. And thank you because you are my father.

1 Mama- My life wouldn’t be complete and beautiful as it today if not because of my role model, my mother. I will always be thankful to GOD for having the privilege of being your daughter, Mama. You’ve been so strong, patient, understanding in the most precious ways, protecting, and loving us all your life. Thank you for being my inspiration and strength. Thank you for being my very best friend. And most of all, thank you for being just the best mother.

     

      There are lots and thousands and millions and billions of people who in every day of your life will affect you, will nurture you as a person, will inspire you in some or other way around. But keep your circle small, choose quality over quantity most especially with friends you allow access into your heart.
